LONDON AND AMSTERDAM COFFEE FESTIVALS – COME SAY HI!

The next month is shaping up to be the busiest in our fledgling company’s history!

Very soon we will be launching our Home Roaster on Kickstarter – more on that very soon – but we’ll also be out and about – so if you want to see our Home Roaster in action there will be the chance to see us in London and Amsterdam.

London Coffee Festival has now become a fixture in the UK coffee calendar. Thursday 30th April and Friday 1st May are Coffee Industry days and we’ll be showcasing our Professional Roaster alongside the European debut for our Home Roaster prototype.

The festival is taking place in Truman Brewery just around the corner from our East London office in the heart of the coffee scene. The festival includes gourmet coffee, speciality tea, artisan food, and demonstrations from world-class baristas, live music and a comprehensive ‘lab’ seminar programme that will educate even the keenest of coffee lovers.

This will be our second time at the London Coffee Festival – we first exhibited in 2013 when the Pro roaster was controlled by computer. Things have progressed from there – we’ve moved onto Ipad and Iphone with Android coming very soon.

We’ve got a massive bag of washed Ethopian Yirgacheffe, some fine Colombian beans and some natural Konga Sedie Yirgacheffe which is a personal favourite. Come and find us on Stand SR44 and see how easy it is to find the perfect roast to bring the best out of these fine coffee beans.

Amsterdam Coffee Festival is a new one for us, but co-founder Rombout Frieling is based in the Netherlands and already knows all the finest cafes in town!

We’re super excited to be exhibiting alongside the finest cafes, roasters and baristas in Holland. The programme includes the Dutch Latte Art Championship, Cupmasters and Brewerscup 2015 as well as art, music and cocktails.

What’s more, Andrew Stordy will be hosting a session at The Lab on Sunday 17th May from 15.30 – 16.15 where he’ll be demonstrating the Home Roaster to a live audience.

If you’re based in Holland, this is a great chance to meet the team, see the roaster, smell the freshly roasted beans and see if an IKAWA Home Roaster might be the next addition to your kitchen!
