Maganjo AA, Kenya

MAGANJO AA, KENYA

The story behind these exceptional coffee beans takes us to Nyeri, a region well known for high quality coffee. At 1,800m above sea level at the fertile foothills of the famous Mount Kenya, the coffee cherries are hand picked and sorted by Gaturiri farmers of Rumukia Co-operative Society.

After the harvest, the cherries are taken to the Maganjo factory where they are sorted and graded. Maganjo is a Kikuyu name meaning the “original land”, a name well deserved for an area with astonishing views over the Tumutumu hills and the snow capped peaks of Mount Kenya.
