Hafursa Waro, Ethiopia

HAFURSA WARO, ETHIOPIA

Ethiopian coffees can be a real crowd-pleaser, and we set out to find a green coffee that had all the classic flavours you might expect and are delighted to bring you this coffee grown by Kebede Gedu and family at 1,900m above sea level, processed at the Hafursa Waro washing station in the Yirgacheffe region.

Apart from the fantastic flavour, the other exceptional aspect is that this is a Single Farmer Lot, which is a real rarity for Ethiopian coffee. Due to the way coffee is handled in Ethiopia, it has not been possible to get the level of traceability to track a micro-lot back to one particular farmer – and we’re very lucky to have a sizeable chunk of the Gedu family’s harvest to offer to you.

We’ve created a fantastic filter roast, and an espresso roast recipe as well, both of which allow you to enjoy this beautifully well balanced fully washed classic Yirgacheffe coffee: Sweet black tea, floral, silky and fresh with lemon zest and blueberry aroma.
